I have an iMac (21.5 inches, mid 2014) with MacOS Mojave.
It's working now.
Hello, I have recently updated my macbook air to Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 and I tried to add my HP laserjet 2018 printer (I have also deleted all previously added printers to my Macbook), but my printer is not listed. I have asked for hp support via virtual chat helper, and the solutions were not help. Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to help. I understand that you would like to install your HP Laserjet 1018 on Mac Sierra 10.12. I checked and found that there are no drivers available for Mac Sierra 10.12. However, I will give you a workaround using which the printer should be able to. Open Print & Scan and click the Plus sign. Select the listed Laserjet 1018. Click the Use drop-down and click Select printer software. Select the Laserjet 1022 from the list, add the printer and try printing.
- Download and install the following package:
- Ensure the printer is powered on and the USB is directly connected to your Mac.
- Click the Apple icon, select System Preferences and then go to Printers & Scanners.
- click the plus sign and select the listed 1018 printer.
- Click the Use drop-down menu and then click on Select Printer Software.
- Type 1022 in the search box and select the HP Laserjet 1022 driver.
- Click OK and confirm any dialog, then try printing using the created print queue.
